How to Create a Subscription Form

Growing your list is a key factor when it comes to email marketing. FeedBlitz offers you the ability to fully customize subscription forms and the freedom to create as many forms as you'd like.

To get started, select Subscribers > Forms on your Left-hand menu.

Note:

You can also begin by selecting the mailing list or funnel you want to create a subscription form for, then choosing Forms > Forms from the upper-right drop-down menu.

Your Forms dashboard will appear showing any growth for your mailing list/funnel with a seafoam bar chart, as well as list out all forms connected to the list or funnel.

Each subscription form has its own Dashboard with Edit and Cloning capabilities.

Since this post is focused on creating a new subscription form, scroll back to the top of your page and select the orange New SmartForm button to get started.

When designing your forms, be sure to avoid these 7 common subscription form mistakes we see all over the web!

This takes you into our SmartForm editor as shown below:

You'll see you can edit nearly ever aspect of your subscription forms. The first tab to appear, Content, allows you to add, remove and edit any content showing on your form. We've highlighted a few of these options in the screenshot below.

Note:

You must hit the Save or Preview buttons to see any changes made in the editor.

The next tab in our SmartForm editor is the Design tab. This is where you can customize the design including borders, colors, fonts, buttons, fields and more. The following screenshot shows only a small glimpse into the customizing capabilities available in the editor.

The Opt-In tab is where you can edit the message users see once they submit their email address. Many users edit this to direct the subscriber to check their email in order to confirm the subscription and complete the process.

Up next is the Code tab. This is where you can grab the code for your form to add it to your website as either a sidebar form (use the widget code for this), pop-up form or whole page form.

Note:

If you'd like to use the same design for both a sidebar and a pop-up subscription form, you will need to create two separate forms for this.

Unfortunately grabbing two different codes for the same form will cause the two to cancel each other out. Luckily, you can easily clone a form from your Forms dashboard.

And that walks you through creating a new subscription form. As always, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. You can find all of our great support resources and how to get in touch with us via email, chat or phone on our Support Page.
