Tracking whether or not an email has been successful can take time and effort. Learning whether or not your subscriber converted when email is just one of your marketing efforts can become fuzzy math.
Conversion Goals can help shed some light on how your email campaigns perform.
Start by clicking Campaigns > Conversions in the left-hand menu. (You can start from any point within the site the campaign is related to.)
This will take you to the Conversion Goals Summary Dashboard, where you can either work with your existing goals if you have them or create a new one.
Click New Goal.
When you create a goal, start by naming it. You will want to give it a name easily identifiable from the Conversion Goals Dashboard.
You can add your goal to one page (URL) directly or add it site-wide and then filter it to reduce the data that appears in the report. How you approach this is up to you.
We are adding the script produced to a single URL in our example.
To ensure your data is more accurate, you can eliminate your machine's IP address and anyone else who will be testing your campaigns. Please only enter one IP address per line.
If you need clarification on your machine's IP address, a quick Google search will reveal it.
Your goal has been created.
Your next step is to add the generated script to your page or website.
To get your script, start at your goal's dashboard. (If you have just clicked Save New Goal, this is where you have landed.)
Look for and click the orange Settings & Installation button at the top of the page.
This takes you to the Goal Settings Page, which is much like the Goal Creations Page, except there is now additional information and a script below the settings. Scroll down and copy the script to add to your site. You only need to click Update Goal Settings if you have made changes that you need to apply.
After you have added this script to your site, data will appear in this goal's dashboard. You can get to the goal's dashboard from this screen by clicking the yellow Goal Dashboard button at the bottom of the screen.
Or at any time by clicking Campaigns > Conversion and then clicking the Dashboard button to the right of your goal's name.
This is how to create a Conversion Goal in FeedBlitz. Conversion Goals are a feature only available to FeedBlitz Accel and Enterprise Publishers.
