Splicing RSS Feeds

Sometimes FeedBlitz publishers want to combine RSS feeds from multiple sources to create one RSS feed. Here at FeedBlitz, we refer to this as splicing.

First, create the RSS feed that the other feeds will be spliced into. If you don't know how to create an RSS feed, we have a greater tutorial here:

How to create an RSS feed.

Then, start at the RSS feed's dashboard and use the Settings dropdown to click Include Additional Feeds.

Type the URL of the additional feed into the text box and select merge posts into the main feed if you want the posts to be arranged in reverse chronological order like all other RSS feeds.

Click Save Changes

Click Save Changes.

You can include as many feeds as you want. After saving, a line for another RSS feed will appear.
Once the feed reaches the one-megabyte limit for standard plans, the oldest articles will drop. If you are on the Procaster plan, the limit is five megabytes.

That is how to splice feeds to create one feed from multiple feeds. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let us know. You can find all of our great support resources and how to get in touch with us via email, chat or phone on our Support Page.
